APCS is an awarding winning family run business established in 2002. We submit in excess of 100,000 criminal record checks per year with a client base of over 8000 companies. We are the largest supplier of criminal record checks in the North West of England and one of the largest in the UK!

We specialise in processing criminal record checks and offer a highly efficient and cost-effective service. Our clients are from a wide range of business sectors; from small local residential homes and nurseries, local authorities, NHS trusts, schools, recruitment companies, to TV companies, airlines and much more.

We have been a Registered Body with the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) and Disclosure Scotland since 2002. In 2010 we introduced our bespoke online DBS check facility which has been fully tested, vetted and approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Building on 16 years' experience, we have developed our own unique disclosure processing platform. We are connected electronically to the DBS and Disclosure Scotland so that we can produce the fastest results across the UK, this in turn enables our clients to speed up their recruitment process.

APCS has no connection with any other business, there are no registration fees, no annual fees and no minimum requirement for application volumes.

Our success as a growing business has been recognised for the valuable professional service we provide; in 2017 we were awarded the FSB Professional Services Business of the Year and in 2018 the FSB Business & Product Innovation Award.
